In my opinion, there should be a cheaper alternative for a game like DayZ. The original price for DayZ being $50USD on steam is too much. Of course there's waiting for a steam sale to drop, but the most I have personally seen has been a 33% percent off.. being around 30- 35 USD. That's not good enough for me. Now, if the original price for DayZ was marked down to 30- 35 USD, then I could understand. Unfortunately I am not the CEO of Bohemia interactive, so I doubt the price will change soon.. if ever.
Do any of you guys know any games on steam that have a similar vibe to DayZ? If not, should I just suck it up and buy DayZ when it's on sale?
Opinions and suggestions greatly recommended!

its not political, its inflation crisis. I only wish every game cost only 30$ instead of 50. I mean yes they have high quality models but i bet its still the same work of time. just like working like a year creating a game back in 2004-2008 and cost only 20$. gosh i miss the old times.

I agree that inflation is partly to blame for the high cost of video games. What I also believe is that the companies that make these games don't really understand that the people they're selling to aren't exactly full of money. Video games are supposed to be affordable for all, not some type of luxury. Yet some video game companies, nintendo for example, are still using current prices for older games. Doesn't make sense to me. The older a game is, the less it should cost.
